Oatu moru curry is a very simple recipe which can be prepared within 10 minutes. :). It is a very good combination with rice,pickle and pappad.
Ingredients
Curd - 1 cup
Onion- 2 medium
Garlic-4 cloves
Ginger-1 piece
Green chilly-4
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Salt
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Methi(Fenugreek) seeds-1/2 tsp [optional]
Oil
Method of preperation
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, when it pops up add Cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds. Add Curry leaves,chopped garlic, ginger and Green chilly. Fry it well. Add chopped onion stir it well till it becomes golden color. Add salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder and stir it well. Add 1/4 cup of water and mix it well. Then reduce the heat and add curd in that. We have to be very carefull while adding curd. Check the curry in the pan doesnt have high temperature this may spoil curd. So reduce heat first then only add curd. Mix it well. Dont boil.. just heat 1-2 minutes and switch of the gas. If the curd is too thick we can add some more water and make it milder.
