Mushroom Thoran/ Mushrrom sabji

             Mushroom dishes are always tasty and preferred dish in restaurants. Nutritional essence of mushroom is similar to meat and grains. But mushroom is low in calories, fat-free and cholesterol free. :)
Here is another tasty recipe of mushroom. Try it.

Ingredients


  1. Mushroom - 2 pkts 
  2. Mustard- 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Ginger - 1 small piece
  4. Curry leaves
  5. Shallots / small onion- 6
  6. Green Chilly- 4
  7. Grated coconut- 1 hand bow
  8. Turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Oil
  10. Salt to taste


Method

Heat oil in a pan. Season mustard seeds. Add chopped ginger . fry. Add curry leaves and fry it. Add sliced shallots and Green chilly. Saute till it turns brown in color. Add chopped mushroom in that. Add salt, turmeric powder. Mix well. cover the pan with a lid and let the mushroom cook. (it may take 5 minutes in medium flame). Open the lid saute it till it gets dried, Add grated coconut . Saute well . When it is completely dry switch off the burner. this can be served with rice.
