Grilled items are both tastier and healthier. Oil is not an essential ingredient. Also the fat in chicken will be drained when grilled. Chicken Tikka is one of those grilled dishes. Here is a simple recipe for Chicken Tikka. :)
Arrangements needed
1) Microwave oven with grill option / Cooking range with grill option
2) Skewers (Thin Bamboo sticks)
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken
- Onion
- Capsicum all color
- Yogurt (curd)- 1 tea spoon
- Ginger Garlic paste- 1/2 tea spoon
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tea spoon
- Chilly powder-1/2 tea spoon
- Garam masala-1/2 tea spoon
- Salt to taste
Method of preparation
Marinating Process
Cut chicken into square pieces of 1/2 inch thickness.
Take this chicken pieces in a bowl.Then add salt, Turmeric powder, Chilly powder and Garam masala.Add Yogurt/curd. Add Ginger garlic paste. Marinate Well . Keep aside for half hour.
Steps to grill
Cut onion into square pieces.
Cut capsicum of all colors into square pieces.
Take one skewer, Pierce one chicken piece, one onion cube, one capsicum (one color).
Repeat this with chicken,onion and different colors of capsicums till stick is filled. (I usually put 4 chicken pieces in a stick.)
Once all skewers are ready spread on the grill plate. Switch on the oven in grill mode . Let it grill for 20 minutes
Check after 20 minutes, if not done grill it for some more time untill you find chicken is cooked.
